Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 November 2026
RecruitBot NZ ("we", "us") is operated by Allan Paterson in Christchurch, New Zealand. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Forms on this website: when you request the checklist, book a demo or contact us, we collect what you enter, such as your name, work email, agency name, team size and message.
- The free follow-up writer: runs entirely in your browser. What you type into it is not sent to us or stored.
- Basic technical data: our hosting provider (Netlify) processes standard server logs such as IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the site.
How we use it
- To send you the resource you asked for and reply to your enquiry.
- To send occasional emails with follow-up tips and product news, if you requested the checklist. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To arrange and run demos, and to improve our product and website.
We don't sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who processes it for us
We use trusted service providers to run the website and send email, including Netlify (hosting and form handling) and our email marketing provider. These providers may store information outside New Zealand, for example in the United States or Europe. We choose providers with appropriate security and privacy safeguards.
Candidate data in the RecruitBot product
When an agency uses RecruitBot NZ, the agency remains responsible for the candidate information it adds, and we process it on the agency's behalf under our customer terms. Candidates with questions about their information should contact the agency first.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and subscriber details only as long as we need them for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by using our contact form. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Cookies
This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.
